Social Media...
Social media provides entertainment for everyone, from the youngest members of the family to our grandparents, but as it has a lot of advantages, the disadvantages are more remarkable in teenagers. These disadvantages have a big impact on them, and most of these can be reflected in mental, physical, and emotional health. It can even affect or change certain behaviors within your group of friends and family.
One of these is physical comparison; many people think it is normal to say that someone's body is "perfect," so they compare themselves to others based on how they look, and this can lead to low self-esteem, insecurity, and low self-confidence. They ask questions such as, “Why can't I be as pretty as her?” or “Why am I, not her?” etc.
Some groups and their actions can convince us to do things we don't want to do, as they may give you reasons that sound convincing at the time but in the long term can cause considerable damage or something irreversible, such as fighting with someone, dropping out of school, hurting yourself, or even ending your own life.
Misinformation is harmful because it leads to fake news or advertisements that make us believe things and influence us to make dangerous decisions, such as sharing personal information and falling victim to fraud and scams.
Social media has a lot of advantages, like learning new languages and facts. We can also keep in contact and share moments and special things for us, but we have to know how to use it with moderation so we can avoid temptations, bad influences, and misfortune.
